::Butterfly In The Sky, I Can Fly Twice As High::
For those of you who read my blog regularly, you all know that back in December I was SUPPOSED to go flying with my co-worker, John, and my brother. That didn't happen because I am soooo freaking lucky and was blessed with a nasty case of the flu. Well, yesterday I finally got to go! I met Jay, the pilot. Jay and John go way back. They used to fly together. My brother likes to describe them as an older couple of Indiana Jones'. Which fits! They've seen so much and have so many different stories to share. They've flown all over the place. Jay is currently trying to get a gig down in Jamaica...dammit that's just too cool for school. We ended up going to the air field that's in French Valley, Temecula. Had a snack at the restaurant. Then it was time to get back home. I'll be honest, I was a little bored on the way to French Valley because we had taken the less scenic route out east. We just flew over a bunch of track housing and boring hills, they didn't even really qualify as mountains. The trip back was beautiful!!! We headed back out west and flew right over the coast. It was magnificent, we had the sun, the sea, and one killer view of the beach. Upon arrival back at Montgomery field, John and I took our, "We Escaped Death!!" picture. It was really fun. I'd love to do that again. So about all those pictures, we'll see if I don't crap out and actually post them. I was able to snap a couple of really good ones. John took some pictures on his own and he gave me a disc today, that definitely has peaked my interest. I always like seeing the type of pictures other people take. Yesterday proved to be one of my better days off in a very loooooong time. I've had a string of good days lately, but that flight was the icing on the cake. Good times.
Random Blurb: You guys have to know where I stole this posts title from! I'll give the first person to tell me a prize. It's a good prize (kind of)!
